Mayor Wong speaks on education, Chinese heritage
Fitchburg Mayor Lisa Wong is Massachusetts’ first female Chinese-heritage mayor. She strongly promotes a college-level educational focus on Chinese culture and language. This is especially important since President Barack Obama announced the “100,000 Strong” initiative, a national effort designed to dramatically increase the number of and to diversify the composition of American students studying in China.
